canstruct a world without hunger.

We believe
in a world without hunGer.
Canstruction is a unique charity which hosts competitions, exhibitions and events showcasing colossal structures made entirely out of full cans of food. After the structures are built, the creations go on display to the public as a giant art exhibition. At the end of the event, all food is donated to local hunger relief organizations.
GET INVOLVED
There are three main ways to get involved with Canstruction Pittsburgh…
Form a Team
Teams consist of at least five members, with one person from the design community. Teams create designs, fundraise to build structures, and then construct their concepts.
View the Structures
Once the structures are built, they will be on display at the Mall at Robinson for one month. View the structures and vote for your favorites in person and on social media.
Donate to a Food Bank
While all structures are donated to Food Banks after display, that’s only a small part of the solution. Visit our donation site to contribute while also voting for your favorite structure.
canstructing an impact
Canstruction Pittsburgh takes great pride in the impact we have made to Pittsburgh’s food security over the past four years.
